“Put on Christ, and gratify not the desires of the flesh”.

Advent is one of those high church words that often get misinterpreted as “lesser Christmas” or “just another church season.” Much like Lent, it isn’t often observed by churches at large, aside from the cultural influences it brings. With advent, it is just another Christmas tradition.

Our focus this Christmas is to take the season of Advent, and use it to the Glory of God. Traditionally, it was a time of fasting, repentance, reflection, and expectation of Christ’s return. We’d like to return to that season as we delve through different stories and instances where what we wear, and what other Biblical characters wear…point us to Jesus and the command given to put on His righteousness.

Join us as we reflect, repent, and wait for Christ’s return as we celebrate the reason for the season; the coming of our Savior, Jesus.

Below, you’ll find each Wednesday night reflection as well as each day’s specific devotional.
